This charming inn is located in the centre of a pleasant hamlet, opposite a lovely 11C church and just two minutes walk from The Priest House museum.
The pub itself dates back to the 17C and boasts a part-tiled exterior and a myriad of different rooms filled with pewter tankards and hop bines. These include a semi-panelled bar with hugs log fire, a room with a delightful glass panel looking down into an old well, two intimate, rustic areas and two larger, more formally laid dining rooms.
There's also a few tables out the front and a larger terrance to the rear. The hands-on owners have plenty of experience and are supported by a bubbly team. Menus feature satisfying country-style classics. Bedrooms are modern and extremely comfortable.
