The Cat Inn is a 16th Century Freehouse, family owned and run by Nick and Mark White. The Cat is situated in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, yet within easy reach of East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, and Gatwick Airport.
Sitting high on a spur of the Sussex Weald, the village is a haven for walkers, ideally placed on the western edge of the Ashdown Forest.
The surrounding area is full of attractions, including the Bluebell Railway, Wakehurst Place, Borde Hill Garden, Sheffield Park, Standen, and the village’s very own Priest House Museum.
Inside The Cat old wooden beams and two roaring log fires in the inglenooks afford a cosy and intimate atmosphere in winter, while a drink on the front terrace and rear garden can be enjoyed on warm summer evenings.
As a Free House, we pride ourselves on the quality of our real ales, concentrating on local breweries such as Harveys of Lewes & Hepworths of Horsham.
Guest beers are offered from other micro breweries in the area, and real cider from Herefordshire is on draught.
Our wines are carefully selected from around the world with a comprehensive selection available by bottle and the glass.
All our food is freshly cooked to order, using seasonal, British and locally sourced produce wherever possible.
In the warm and friendly bar areas we offer the opportunity to enjoy a traditional bar-meal at a sensible price, without compromising on either quality or quantity.
